gratituesday 3/31

Posted by sue | Filed under gratitudes | Mar 31, 2009 | No Comments

A quarter of 2009 is pau (Hawai’ian for done, finished). Amazing.
I am feeling particularly blessed this morning and I don’t really know why.
The usual suspects —
health
rest
life
love
friends
sisters
community
fun
a clean house
fresh clean sheets on the bed
good food
hope
faith
kindness
generosity
gratitude
Life is sweet. I am glad I am still here.
Blessed be.

As Mae Nam says, Persephone is here. What a beautiful spring weekend. Lots of time spent outside, gardening. Dove into my succulent garden and cleared the dead stuff and trimmed the overgrowth. Turned the big plants their semiannual quarter-turn to counter the lean. Rearranged, put some that need more light on higher shelves. Gave some ...Read more.

Has tweeting taken over my life? Now I’ve discovered Blip and Skitch, ways to tweet images and music. How funny is that!
I’m grateful for online radio stations. Listening to Pandora play my genre mix this morning.
I’m grateful for willingness to wear a knee brace. It really helped!
I’m grateful for hula classes.
I’m grateful for this Tweet ...Read more.

Amazing how happy I am made by the restoration of zippy internet speeds. Yesterday was sheer torture, made worse by my wrong diagnosis. I called Vonage, thinking it musta been my Vonage devices because I could download okay but not send or load websites worth a damn. After nearly ninety minutes on the phone with ...Read more.

I am so grateful for my life. For health and friends and love.
For sunshine and cold spring weather.
For growth everywhere I look. Buds on all the branches. New leaves.
For the Twitter conversation. I love having the search for new design projects always open on my desktop, and for the ease of making short quick replies.
For ...Read more.

I am back. Grounded, happy, a bit adrift. The year and a day of service and learning has ended and now it’s new and different. I am an ordained high priestess in the Dianic Amazon tradition. Six of us have landed up here (nine of us began the process). And we are complete. We are ...Read more.

Got up and out of bed at six today. I’m preparing for ordination. Got a box packed with my tools: my chalice, cauldron, crown, tarot deck, scrying stone, wand and I’ve got my ring on my finger. Priestess traveling road show.
I am so grateful for this day, for this event. I am humbled.
I am grateful ...Read more.

Grateful for everything this morning. For cold sunshine (I love early spring!) and the bluest blue sky.
For patience. For willingness. Yes, I had an early tech-support call! Another go-round with Comcast. The cable box punked out again last night—froze. I rebooted it and went to bed with everything working. Woke up this morning and it ...Read more.

It’s a good morning. Gray and wet and spring is coming. I’ve got a succulent in my collection that I’ve been growing for nearly 15 years that’s flowering for the first time. It has—as succulent flowers often do—a center stalk with a collection of buds at the end. I’ve been watching that stalk for weeks ...Read more.

It’s Monday morning and it’s ordination week. [Gulp.]
Hard to articulate the anticipation. I feel quiet and a mixture of gravity and giddiness. Mixed with a little dread.
One of us dropped out last week. That adds a little bit of unsettledness. We did a lot of bonding this last year. It’s hard to lose her.
This was ...Read more.
